What you'll need

1 head Lettuce
1 Cucumber
1 Tomato
1 Red Onion
1 bunch Cilantro
1 bunch Mint
2 cloves Garlic
2 Thai Chilies
2 tbsp Palm Sugar
3 tbsp Fish Sauce
1 Lime
1 Green Onion
2 tbsp Toasted Rice Powder

1 lb Ny Strip Steak

Oil For Cooking

Salt To Taste

Pepper To Taste

Garlic Powder To Taste

2 tbsp Butter

Cook it step by step

Method

Prepare the salad by combining lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and mint in a bowl.

Make the dressing by mixing garlic, Thai chilies, palm sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, cilantro, green onion, and toasted rice powder in a bowl.

Take the steak out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature. Pat it dry and season generously on all sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat and sear the fat cap of the steak for about 1 minute.

Cook the steak for about 4 minutes per side, then reduce the heat and sear the edges for about 1 minute.

Add butter and garlic to the pan, and baste the steak for another minute.

Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the sliced steak on top of the salad and drizzle with the dressing.
